Play It Like Entertainment

The honest version first: we earn when you play — which is exactly why every hard limit on this page exists. Players who treat King Exchange like a night at the movies stay for years; chasers burn out in a month, and no business worth keeping is built on that.

Since 2015 the desk has watched play stop being fun for a few players every year. This page is for them — and for the version of you that might someday need it. Caps, timers, full breaks, real Indian helplines: everything below works today, over one WhatsApp message.

Where We Stand

Let's start with the part most sites bury: King Exchange is a business — when you top up and play, the network earns. Oddly, that's the strongest reason to trust what follows. Our longest-standing players deposit what a night out costs, trade the IPL, laugh, log off — they stay because it never hurt. The player who pushes a whole salary in during week one is gone inside a month, usually angry. Responsible play isn't charity; it's the only model that survives eleven years.

So the desk treats limits as a product feature, not a legal chore. Every agent — the same people who set up your online cricket id — can set a deposit cap, a session timer, or a full freeze inside the same chat window. Nobody transfers you to a "special department" or asks why three times hoping you'll drop it.

And yes, we've seen it go wrong. Not often — most of our 3 lakh+ players never trip a single alarm — but often enough to know the slide by sight: bigger top-ups after midnight, deposits landing minutes after a loss, chat getting shorter and sharper. When the pattern shows, we say something. Some thanked us years later; some told us where to go. Both are fine. Staying quiet isn't.

Hard Rule

The 18+ Line

The rule is blunt: 18 or older, no exceptions, no "turning 18 next month". Here's how it actually gets enforced, because a rule without teeth is decoration.

Verification happens at payout. Anyone can type a birth year into a signup chat, so we don't pretend that filters anyone. The first withdrawal can't be faked: it must land in a bank account whose name matches the ID, and documents get checked on the way. If they show a player under 18, the account closes that day, deposits return to the source bank, and nothing else pays out. A minor can't collect a rupee here — which quietly removes the reason to try.

One request for parents: treat your King Exchange login like your UPI PIN. The most common under-18 case isn't a teenager faking an identity — it's one borrowing a father's already-logged-in phone. Log out, lock the app, keep your ID your own.

The Playbook

Six Habits That Keep It Fun

Eleven years of support logs, six habits. Keep them and you'll likely never need the rest of this page.

Set an Entertainment Budget

Decide a monthly figure the way you would for movies or eating out — money that, once spent, changes nothing about rent, EMIs, or groceries. If it's gone by the 12th, the season is over until the 1st. This one habit does more than everything else combined.

Put a Hard Cap on Time

Pick your minutes before you log in, and set a phone alarm — not a mental note. Scoreboard time moves differently: a "quick look at the last five overs" becomes ninety minutes without you feeling it. When the alarm rings, finish the over and log out. The session limit below makes this automatic.

Never Chase a Loss

A losing night is the ticket price, the same way a bad film doesn't refund you. Raise a stake to "get it back" and you've stopped playing and started digging. In eleven years the desk has never watched chasing end well. The matches will still be there tomorrow.

Never Borrow to Play

Play money comes from surplus, full stop. The day a credit card, a loan app, or a friend's ₹5,000 funds a top-up is the day to stop entirely — not slow down, stop. This is the brightest line between entertainment and trouble, and it's why we'll never offer you credit.

Play With a Clear Head

Late night, a few drinks, a losing streak — that combination writes decisions your morning self won't recognise. We read the "what did I do last night" messages, so we know. If you've been drinking, just watch the match and enjoy it. Trade tomorrow instead.

Tell Someone Your Number

Secrecy is the soil problem play grows in. Tell one person you trust — a spouse, a friend, a brother — your monthly figure. You'll think twice before breaking a budget somebody else knows, and if things ever slide, the hardest conversation is already half finished.

One Message Away

Limits You Can Set Today

Every limit is set through the same WhatsApp chat you use for deposits — no forms, no email chains, no office hours.

LimitWhat It DoesHow To Set It
Deposit capRefuses any deposit past your chosen daily, weekly, or monthly figure — the payment simply bounces back to your bank.Message the desk — "cap my deposits at ₹2,000 a week" — and it's live within the hour.
Session lengthLogs you out after your chosen minutes and blocks re-login until the next day.Tell the desk your minutes-per-day figure; it applies from your very next login.
Loss capPauses play for the period once your net losses reach your figure, even if balance remains in the ID.Give the desk a weekly or monthly number; it resets every Monday or on the 1st.
Cool-offFreezes the whole account — no play, no deposits — for anything from 24 hours to 7 days.Message "cool-off" plus the number of days. Active within the hour.

The 24-hour rule: lowering any limit applies the same day, but raising or removing one takes a hard 24-hour delay — no exceptions, however nicely you ask. That gap forces a 1 am, mid-losing-streak decision to survive a full day before it can cost you anything. Most "raise my cap" requests get quietly cancelled the next morning — which tells you why the delay exists.

Taking a Break

Self-Exclusion, Step by Step

The full stop when a cool-off isn't enough — four steps, no guilt trip, no retention script.

  1. Message the desk

Open your usual WhatsApp chat and say "self-exclusion". That's the whole ritual — no interview, no "are you sure?" loop, no last-minute offer to stay. The agent confirms what happens next and asks one question: how long.

  2. Choose 1, 3, or 6 months

Pick the period that scares you a little. It cannot be shortened once set — not by you, not by an agent, not by a manager. Torn between two lengths? Take the longer one. Nobody has ever complained that a break worked too well.

  3. ID frozen, balance settled

Logins are blocked the same day. Any remaining balance is withdrawn to your registered bank through the normal 15–30 minute process, so no money sits inside tempting you back early. Your number also leaves every promotional list on the network.

  4. Reactivation is on you, not us

When the period ends, nothing switches back on by itself and nobody messages you "we miss you". The account reopens only if you contact the desk yourself, and even then a final 24-hour confirmation applies. Plenty of players never return — a fine outcome too.

Catch It Early

Warning Signs

One of these alone might just be a rough week. Three or more at once is a pattern — and patterns respond best when caught early.

  • Playing with committed money. Rent, EMI, school fees, the electricity bill — if a top-up touches money that already has a job, that's the loudest alarm on this list.
  • Chasing. Raising stakes after a losing night to get it back — the fastest road from entertainment to problem play.
  • Hiding it. Deleting chats, playing only when alone, understating amounts when someone asks. Fun doesn't need a cover story.
  • The fun is gone. Agitation before a session and relief after it — that's the entertainment finished, with only the habit left running.
  • Borrowing to top up. Or even seriously browsing a loan app with a deposit in mind. This sign alone is enough to act on.
  • Time evaporates. Sessions regularly run double or triple what you planned, and the clock keeps surprising you.
  • Moods track results. A green day makes you pleasant at dinner; a red one ruins the evening for everyone in the house.
  • You've tried to stop before. A promise to yourself — "not this month" — that didn't hold is the clearest signal that willpower needs backup.
For the People Around a Player

For Family & Friends

What you might notice

It rarely announces itself. Families usually notice smaller things first: a phone that's suddenly always face-down, moods swinging with matches nobody explained, money questions answered too quickly, a borrowing request that doesn't add up. If that sounds familiar, pick your moment — not mid-match, not mid-argument. Ask about time and money, the two measurable things, and skip the word "addict"; nobody hears anything said after it. You're not staging a rescue. You're opening a door.

What you can actually do

Three concrete things. First, call one of the helplines below yourself — all of them counsel family members too, and a fifteen-minute call gives you language that beats instinct. Second, message our desk: privacy rules mean we can't show you the account, but we can flag it internally and slow things down. Third, hold your wallet. Covering a player's losses feels like kindness and works like fuel — help with food, rent, or a lift to counselling, never with a top-up.

Independent & Free

Real Help in India

None of these numbers is ours. All are independent, free, and staffed by trained counsellors — nothing you say reaches King Exchange. Save one in your phone even if today feels fine.

iCall (TISS)

+91-9152987821 · Run by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Trained psychologists on phone, email, and chat in English, Hindi, and several regional languages. Monday to Saturday, about 9 am to 9 pm. The strongest choice for a structured, ongoing plan.

Vandrevala Foundation

1860-2662-345 · Free and open 24x7, all year. Counsellors take calls on stress, money worry, and problem play without judgement. The easiest first dial: someone answers at 3 am, which is precisely when this call usually needs making.

AASRA

+91-9820466726 · A confidential 24x7 line for anyone in emotional distress or crisis. If a losing streak has taken you somewhere darker than a money problem, call this one first, before anything else on this page. A person answers, and they stay on the line.

Held To in Writing

What We Promise

Words are cheap online, so here's the list we're happy to be held to. Screenshot it.

  • No credit, ever. The desk will never lend, advance, or offer "play now, settle later". Anyone claiming to give King Exchange credit is a scammer — send us the number and we'll act on it.
  • Self-excluded means unmarketed. The day your exclusion starts, your number leaves every offer list and broadcast group we run. Silence is part of the product.
  • Limits travel across the network. A deposit cap set here follows you across our sister brands — no dodging your own limit through a different door.
  • The desk flags, it never pushes. Agents are trained to spot chasing and suggest a break. Nobody here earns a rupee of incentive for talking you out of a limit.
  • This page stays current. It carries a review date, and when a helpline number or a process changes we update it the same week — not the same year.
FAQ

Play-Safe Questions, Answered

Five questions the desk hears most on this topic, answered the way we'd answer in chat.

What does playing responsibly mean in practice?

Three habits cover most of it: play only with money you'd happily spend on any other night out, set a time cap before you log in, and never try to win a bad night back. Add a fourth — tell somebody you trust what your monthly figure is. Players who keep those four stay for years and enjoy it. When one slips, the limits on this page lock the habit back in place.

How do I put a cap on my deposits?

One WhatsApp message to the desk: tell us the daily, weekly, or monthly figure you want and we set it, usually within the hour. Any deposit that would push you past the cap simply bounces back. Lowering the cap works the same day; raising or removing it takes a fixed 24-hour delay we never skip — the delay is the whole point of the cap.

How do I take a break with self-exclusion?

Message the desk and say 'self-exclusion'. You pick 1, 3, or 6 months, we settle any remaining balance back to your bank, and the ID is frozen for the full period. It can't be shortened, logins are blocked, and your number comes off every promotional list. When the period ends, nothing reactivates on its own — the account reopens only if you ask, after a final 24-hour confirmation.

Which habits signal that play is becoming a problem?

The big four: playing with money that was meant for bills, raising stakes to win back a losing night, hiding sessions or amounts from people at home, and borrowing to top up. Watch also for sessions that overrun your plan and moods that swing with results. One sign alone can be a rough week; three together is a pattern — a cool-off or a call to a helpline is the right next step.

Who can I call in India for problem-play support?

Three verified, free services: iCall from TISS on +91-9152987821 (Monday to Saturday, about 9 am to 9 pm), the Vandrevala Foundation on 1860-2662-345 (24x7), and AASRA on +91-9820466726 (24x7). All three connect you to trained counsellors, none is run by us, and nothing you say reaches King Exchange. If you're unsure, start with the Vandrevala line — it answers at any hour.

Play when it's fun. Pause when it's not.

That sentence is the whole page. If anything above rang a bell, the desk will set a limit as fast as you can type it — and the helplines answer around the clock.
